Family Martial Arts was founded to provide a place where students of all ages feel comfortable enough to truly challenge themselves. Like any activity, martial arts will present roadblocks and challenges. We expect to see failure in our students as they advance in their skills—it’s the only way to grow.
Our philosophy is to promote an attitude of resilience in a non-judgmental environment where everyone feels comfortable. There are countless Karate studios where students can simply show up to class to earn their belts. That’s not us. We want our students to grow on every level, building character, a positive attitude, and a strong moral compass along the way.
We want to get your children (or your whole family) involved in a healthy activity without wasting valuable time. We understand that parents operate on busy schedules. That’s why class schedules are manageable with two classes per week that come with flexible scheduling options. In every class, we make the most of our time with students. Along with physical Karate education, we practice instilling positive virtues of resiliency and confidence.

We’re not here to lock you into a contract with our studio; we’re here to share our passion for martial arts. Our goal is to help every one of our students find their talent and their drive as they practice with us. However, if it’s just not right for your child, we don’t want you to be stuck with a long-term commitment. We’ll work with you to find the right path forward, whether that’s finding a new activity or working to motivate your child to stick with their training and find success.

You might think your child is too wild to get through a Karate class or that they don’t have the martial arts background they need to get started. But your child doesn’t need to be a disciplined athlete to learn martial arts.
We’re here to help your child reach that point with age-appropriate teaching strategies to help even the most rambunctious youngsters get focused. As your child learns to channel his or her energy into a positive outlet like Karate, you’ll see a big difference in their behavior in and out of the studio.
We have you covered! Our Success with FMA package gets you started without committing to a long-term program. It even includes a uniform!
